City and university
Mogilev is a city in eastern Belarus, about 76 kilometres from the border with Russia. As of 2020, its population was 357,100. It is the administrative centre of Mogilev Region and the third largest city in Belarus.
The Belarusian-Russian University is an interstate institution of higher education of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
The University has a half-century history. It was founded as a Machine Building Institute; today it has become a major scientific and educational complex.
